Monster Energy Supercross Official Video Game

Genre
Racing Game. Simulation Game. It is both of the genres as you have to race against other players based from real life and win tournaments and battle to in the championship. It is completely based of real life racing. The tracks and characters have been 3D printed to make the tracks identical to the real life tracks.

Target Audience
The target audience for this game is for people aged 3 and above due to the age rating. The game is non specified for a specific gender. However, due to the popularity of the sport to males, more males are likely to play the game. It is also aimed towards Motocross and Supercross fans. Especially people who enjoy either watching or riding the bikes in real life. Also, it is aimed towards people with Steam, PlayStation's, and Xbox's due to the game being available on those platforms.

Narrative / Storyline
The aim of the game is to complete the career mode. You complete this by racing against AI's which are based completely of the racers in real life. You are able to win credits and spend these credits on a large variety of items. Such as, helmets, boots, other clothing, bike equipment and different sponsors. The narrative is also to make you feel fully immersed in the game.

Characters
The main characters are based on people in real life who race in these events. You are able to select any racer from the event from the most popular to someone who has only just made it into that race. There is a very large variety of characters to choose from. This gives you the experience to live in the life of a racer and think how they think during a race and before a race. However, you are also able to create your own character which allows you to feel more involved in the game on a personal level.

Gameplay
There are 4 different camera angles during a race. This gives you the opportunity to feel how the racers would or the best angle to play in. Both of the first person views puts you in a helmet and behind the handle bars and on the seat of the Supercross bike. The graphics are absolutely amazing. The developers of the game done a very good job making the game look as realistic as possible. The sound effects in the game include the bike you are riding when you change gear and accelerate. The bikes around you. Also, when in on of the first person mode, due to having a helmet on, the sounds are more muffled and distorted as this is what it sounds like with a helmet on in real life. The rain and mud hitting the characters and the audience in the background. When compared to real life, the acceleration and braking times of the bike is very similar and is very realistic giving a full experience.

Platforms
The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.

Personal View and Recommendation
I personally love this game. I think the graphics are incredible. The game feels very realistic. Due to having been on a bike and racing in real life, the game is very similar to how it feels in real life. I would totally recommend this game to anyone, wether they enjoy Supercross or Motocross or not.
